I had hoped that I really didn't need to remind anyone, but it appears this is the case.

- West Virginia, Syracuse and Pittsburgh are STILL in the Big East.
- Louisville is too (and hasn't even announced they are leaving - yet).

I'm getting a bit tired of the leftovers and newbies attempts to run them out. Not speaking to everyone, but those know who they are. WVU is gone after the tournament, so just hang in there on that one. But, we have another full year of Syracuse and Pitt. If these guys aren't discussing expansion, please show some respect.

Now, I also need to remind everyone that bragging about the conference you're going to has no place on this board.

Let's just try to read peoples' posts, not the name of the author.

Additionally, no bragging about how you're going to the Big East and how much better it is blah blah on CUSAbbs and MWCbbs as well. They too are dealing with fires like these. Enough's enough already. I'm all for debating and good natured ribbing but keep it classy.

I think there's more of a problem with the posters of teams splitting talking down to the leftovers and newbs...

When I was at my angriest, I put posters from departing schools on ignore so that I wouldn't be tempted to respond in anger, even to posts that didn't deserve it. Since getting over it and taking everybody off ignore, I'm not really noticing much coming from them that deserves the ire of remaining/incoming schools' fans.

The main offenders are now posters from my own school who want out and/or continually post unsubstantiated rumors that we're leaving and/or post BE configurations that obviously omit Louisville. But even that has died down over the past couple of days, probably because the reaction from the everybody else was increasingly hostile.

It's natural that leftovers and newbies are sensitive at this point. It mostly takes time.

we got new schools coming in in 13, and posters continue to call us a sinking ship. condescending comments occur dAILY, lighten up people.

I will say here what I have posted on the other board and told Louisville posters I have chosen to do: STOP or LIMIT POSTING HERE.

I will not start threads on this board. I will only respond to posts about Louisville not started by Louisville fans. This should limit issues and not hurt the feelings of some of our more sensitive "Cardinal" fans.

If you are a Louisville fan you have probably already received an invite or will shortly. This will be an invitation only board.

Why should Louisville fans stop posting on the Big East board? We are members of the Big East and there's nothing substantial that says we won't be in the future.

If some Louisville fans can only exist in a non-existent future in which we are members of a conference we haven't been invited to yet, I don't even know what to say about that. As far as I'm concerned, the Big East is where we are and it's where we belong. If an announcement to the contrary is made at some point in the future, only then will I stop posting on the Big East board. Until then, I am a proud fan of a full and permanent member of the Big East and will only say things that support this conference and its future.

The fact that Charlie Strong is telling recruits that where heading to the Big12, is all I need to know.

I think the intent of the original post in a rules announcement thread has already been forgotten.
