RE: Sun Belt Baseball Recaps
USA was ahead 2-1 in the latter half of the game against College of Charleston but after 2 batters hit by a pitch and a subsequent home run, Jags end up on the wrong end of 2-5. The game was somewhat of a pitchers duel for most of the game with the only runs up until the point being the result of errors from both teams.

Wow how bad was the weather in Louisiana tonight? We have a double header starting tomorrow in the morning I guess we might be getting that bad weather here.

Nice OOC win, I think we can all give a little support for that.

The FIU athletic director has some balls to schedule Rice this early in the season with probably one of it's most talented team ever. It gives you guys a good RPI to start the season if you win any of the series though.

ASU Lamar were in the middle of a pitchers duel. Lamar takes an 8th inning 1 run lead, andd we immediately get 2 on with one out in the 9th

It starts raining and the umps call the game within a few minutes and give Lamar the win. If its conference play, its a suspended game...sigh.

RE: Sun Belt Baseball Recaps (Day 2)
Troy leads CMU 8-7. After being down by 7 CMU exploded for two runs in the 4th then 5 in the fifth inning then resorted to a little by the rules cheating. They kept changing pitchers and stopping the game as soon as the rain started getting heavy in hopes of it getting canceled with a tie but Troy hit a home run then got the bases loaded with one only one out before they called the game to stop.

Besides that it has been a great game and CMU looks like they will be one of the better teams in the MAC this year. Troy most likely will score when the game resumes then it will be a fight between the relief pitchers.

RE: Sun Belt Baseball Recaps
From what it looks like next year and later this season Troy is going to have one heck of an offense. A lot of new guys like Jo-El Bennet and Danny Collins are hitting very well. Pitching is a work in progress we really need Jimmy to step it up when he gets near his pitch limit. He was clutch the first three innings then like last year teams start hitting big on him.

But once again as the season progresses this will definitely be a top 25 team.

Final Score: Middle Tennessee 3, Saint Louis 2.
MT moves to 1-1 on the year. Game won in 11th inning when sophomore Hank LaRue knocked in a run to get the win.

Cajuns beat Witchita State 1-0 in a masterful pitching duel. Play Santa Clara tomorrow and possibly Texas State.
