Kendrick needs to realize he has a chance now he won't have in a year or so. Maybe for his sake, it's a good thing it happened at a low profile school with little media coverage. We'll see how both players look at the next game. Maybe they won't be out of sight as OJ Mayo was with an 'asthma attack' after his ill-fated 'booray' run in with Tony Allen.

We're ready for this program to get to the next level; let's hire a coach which reflects that desire.
They have a pathetic arena that only seats a hair over 9000 people and they are lucky to get 6000 in the building! Filled the Tad Pad? Which games is this nut job attending?
REPORTED attendance:
vs. Vandy- 5,954
vs. Auburn-5,967
vs. S.C. 7,396
vs. FL 7,488
vs. Ark. 5,197
vs. SMU 4,728
Doesn't sound like they're even getting close to filling up the 9,000 seat Sad Pad.....and we know what is reported and what is actually there is never the same.

They had less than 6,000 last night.

RE: "Jelan Kendrick then went double crazy!"
I remember how excited I was when Jelan Kendrick announced his decision. McD's AA and seemed like he really loved the city and wanted to be a Tiger. The video at the Peabody, when his parents were there. IIRC, they said Jelan just told them to hop a plane, didn't tell them he was announcing his decision or where. They kind of looked like deer in the headlights.
I'm sure they are very loving parents and all, but after the $h!t that has hit the fan about JK, it's clear to me he rules the roost and they may even be a little bit afraid of him. JMO. I'm not a psychologist, just a fan, but that's what it looks like to me in hindsight.
Apologies in advance to the Kendrick parents if this is way off base...

My jaw dropped at some of these comments. Is this person an actual journalist? If so, who in the hell is paying them?
Quote:It's apparent that he hasn't moved past or grown out of them, even if Kennedy has, to his credit, done a better job of managing Kendrick's personality than Josh Pastner could.
So you just wrote an article about how your team had an absolutely pathetic performance at home and Jelan Kendrick had a melt down, and yet you make this ridiculous statement that Kennedy has done a "better job" with Jelan Kendrick?
I'm sorry that your program is so horrible that you have to scoop up our scraps and deal with the consequences you knew would be there. The fact that this guy believes that the drunk, Kennedy, is somehow better for a head case is astonishing.

As another poster has said, what games is this goof talking about? Filling the tad pad for every game would be sort of impressive, but when you fill it on occasion and try to boast about it, you're an idiot.
Quote:It's really a shame. Once you get labeled a 'headcase' or a 'hothead', or have a single incident where you 'lose it'. Those labels tend to hang around you for your entire playing career, even if it's a pretty solid career.
What a brilliant guy. Let's forget the numerous incidents and reduce it all down to a "single incident".
And what "solid career" is this guy talking about? JK has been a factor in two or three games in his "career".

Ha. I knew. I was just making a (bad) joke to my generation. UofMark was actually one of the guys who showed me Slapshot at a young age.
I remember seeing some look-a-likes at a Riverkings game when I was like 8 years old.

No, that was actually the real Hanson Brothers......one of them coached the Riverkings back when they played in Memphis. I got an autographed picture somewhere. (I was probably about 10) I had no idea who they were at the time.....awesome movie!
Steve Carlson played Steve Hanson in Slap Shot....he coached the Riverkings in the 92-93 season....26-27-7...and a lot of fights if my memory serves me right.
