Exclamation MAC Football Game Day Experience Rated
http://www.stadiumjourney.com/stadiums/y...adium-s497

Run down of the scoring for the MAC:

Western Michigan 3.7
Buffalo 3.4
Toledo 3.3
Kent State 3.1
Bowling Green 3.0
Eastern Michigan 2.9
Ohio 2.6
Temple 2.6
Northern Illinois 2.4
Akron 2.3
Ball State 2.1
Miami 2.1
Central Michigan N/A

-The staff caught games at WMU on homecoming, Toledo hosting Arizona and Buffalo in good weather affecting numbers positively.

-Miami and Ohio were both midweek visits. The Miami review was dreadful saying how only 1,000 fans were in the stands due to a thunderstorm.

-The reviewer gave a surprising angle on Bowling Green saying how there is a lot to do around Doyt Perry Stadium with hotels and restaurants nearby. That is interesting to note for the visitor how easy it is to get a hotel room across the athletic facilities, not that they have very many fans visiting overnight like you find in Athens.

In Athens you have to book about a year in advance for homecoming or parents weekend to have any shot at a local room.

If you knew anything about Bowling Green at all, you would understand why it is so easy to get a hotel room at one of the establishments across from the athletic facilities. If you don't book the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express early, you are better off driving to Perrysburg or Findlay.

Athens has more hotels now than BG and you can't find a room period on prime football weekends.

Would be nice if the reviewer for Temple wasn't a student who transferred from Pitt. Reviewing a day after Thanksgiving game, which most of us were at home with our families (myself included) probably isn't fair either.

You have to do "apples to apples" comparison. All Saturday afternoon games.

That would not be possible. I challenge someone to find a season in the last few years when you could go to a Saturday afternoon game in every MAC team's stadium in a single year.
