Limited government
Unbelievable hypocrisy. Anybody truly concerned about the scope of government should be utterly outraged by the actions of the wingnut lunatics the citizens of Virginia saw fit to install into Richmond. The only benefit of this is that Independents who were annoyed by Obama and the Democrats now understand just what it means to elect wingnut candidates. Hopefully they will remember that this fall.

RE: Limited government
I agree, it's an overstep. Where's your anger when it happens on the left?
Oh, you're not being a hypocrite here, are you? When it happens on the right, I say something about it. When it happens on the left, you kooks are silent. Tell me about this "hypocrisy" again, will you?

RE: Limited government
The idea that limited-government conservatives (don't know enough about the specific house members to say if they fall under this category, but then again, you started with the generalizations) are somehow hypocrites because they believe that the idea of government protecting an individuals right (namely, being deprived of life) just shows how completely lost you are on the concept of a limited-government conservative. Don't lump neo-cons, social conservatives, and libertarians all into one giant right-wing group. You just prove your inability to recognize the internal fight the GOP is experiencing between these very different factions.

RE: Limited government
This is way overstepping on a stupid issue to overstep on. I think republicans have a death wish.
Rebel is right, when you show the ability to apply the same standard with equal vigor to the excesses of the left, then we'll have something more than partisan hackery.

I don't mind requiring ultrasounds, when a woman wants to have an abortion at a certain point, but some of those are overreaching. WAY overreaching. When the sperm hits the egg? Are you serious?

RE: Limited government
For every one law coming from the right that restricts freedom, there are 99 laws coming from the left to do the same.
The two ends of the political spectrum are not identical regarding liberty.

RE: Limited government
I can understand that this is perceived as reaching, and will have some unintended consequences. But those are pretty minor.
This is a great example
Quote:And one GOP delegate caused the House to ripple when he said most abortions come as "matters of lifestyle convenience.
Showing how the averse libs are to the truth, yet it can barely be twisted to something offensive.
Oh BTW wvucrazy, how does this connect with your subject of limited government? You don't even seem to understand the talking points.

Who cares? Just another moron who hates women.
He's trying to save 600,000-700,000 women a year. You're fine with those thousands being killed. Who hates women?

Look the left does not want to have a conversation about when life begins. It's so much easier to say "I don't know" and to call people trying to figure it all out bigots.

Reb,
Between the time the sperm hits the egg and a woman knows she is pregnant the baby is at least two weeks old, three if she does not notice the missed period right away.
Sperm hitting the Ovum is Not really relevant to this conversation
