Some sorry stuff coming from the head of the board.
Is the name Jim Boeheim invisible to some people?

Boeheim ran his mouth off and it came back to him in spades.

To associate my statement about Boeheim with somehow defiling the entire new BE or UCONN revenge would fail you in a logic / argument class.
So why did you go out of your way to post the same thread on the C-USA board? Why did you feel the need to post a Big East vs ACC thread in the C-USA forum?

I don;t see you posting a MAC vs C-USA thread on the Big East board on the BE board.

At least we lost to MAC teams that had guys like Pennington, Leftwich, and Big Ben. No shame in that since all those QB's have a chance at being in the playoffs. I can't name anyone who has ever played football or basketball for Bowling Green.

Are you going to start a thread about Memphis getting stomped?

And C-USA as long as they use this place as their exclusive forum...and only forum for that matter.

I didn't go out of my way... a USM fan saw my sig and asked me to post it.

I would not have said anything about the game ('cept on the GT board) had Boeheim not ran his mouth off before the game. Of course... Boeheim has been mouthing off about the ACC in general for a little while now... and about GT ever since Kenny Anderson went to Tech from the NY area. He's a sour grape with a mouth that overloaded his arse. :)

FWIW --> I think the MAC is one of the most under-rated conferences in the nation. The "MAC Attack" of 2003 would happen more often if middle and lower teir BCS schools weren't chicken. Exceptions granted to those who truly have a BRUTAL schedule (GT 2004, 2003 .... UNC 2001... just a few examples).

I speak my mind. I've defending the MAC and pointing out questionable recruiting practices in some C-USA schools... ON CUSA CONF TALK before.

No offense... but to two of you look silly to anybody who pays attention to what I post. I am not one to fire away unless someone who has no buisness doing so (Boeheim) mouths off like that and it bites them in the arse.

For those that actually defended Boeheim...

When was the last time Miami, in a non-probationary year, lost 3 conference games in the Big East?
When was the last time a non-bowl team won in Blacksburg in the Big East?
The ACC has done better in bowls and Sagarin than the Big East for ... good lord ... .. at LEAST a decade from the quick research I could do.
Last season, WITHOUT Miami or VT, the ACC won the ESPN Bowl Cup AND the Sagarin.

The facts do NOT side with Boeheim in the least. Period. Any REASONABLE fan would agree his statement is a laugher. Not putting the BE down... just the facts, ma'am.

[$0.02: The BE, in actuality, would have been a great conference if they had taken the initiative to get their league in order when the time was ripe. Get all-sports members... force Notre Dame to join in full.... dump Temple... perhaps Rutgers... pick up UCONN, L'ville, Cincy... dump a few of the small bball only schools.]

I think eventually in the more distant future, sizeable shuffling is to be made between the Big 10, MAC, and Big East. If it holds true that conferences are always looking to be better, eventually the BE will spin off a bball only conference... and the BE and Big 10 would do shuffling to produce two 12-team all-sports conferences... with some raid help form upper MAC schools... leaving the MAC around the condition the current Sun Belt is in. It makes too much sense, given conferences looking to improve, not to happen. Another possibility, should the BE become a high money conferences, is the inclusion of Kentucky from the SEC given how they conform more to the BE, with the SEC picking up a southern power ... who is highly questionable... but most in the West would probably lobby for Texas. In the very distant future... but makes fiscal and common sense.
