RE: Pead on ESPNU
Saw a blurb on FESPN today saying Pead would be one of the hidden gems in the draft.

“@thescheids Todd McShay on SportsCenter that Isaiah Pead will be absolute steal in this years draft.” Couldn't say it better myself!

RE: Pead on ESPNU
Not to sidetrack but since people were listing their all time UC favs, I would have Connor Barwin on the list. Not because he's the best football player to ever wear the CPaw (he was really really good) but because he's one of the best players to wear both a football and basketball uniform.

When his alma mater needed basketball players to field a team, he answered the call. He sacrificed a great deal of his free time and if he'd been injured playing basketball could've have sacrificed his football career.

You can add Brad Jackson to that list, I believe he is the only player to have played in the NCAA tourney (for Huggs), Bowl game (Humanitarian Bowl) and Super Bowl (Baltimore Ravens)

RE: Pead on ESPNU
Jackson is a two sport athlete for sure and should be included. They sacrifice so much of their off season to play both.

Although I think basketball was in a much more dire situation when Barwin played than when Jackson played. Barwin never got a sniff of the NCAA tournament on the basketball teams he played on but he helped save the program from the abyss.

I couldn't agree more - I think Pead will have a career in the NFL akin to James Brooks.
