Idiot voters will probably vote them out of the top 25.
And they'll probably only get a 10-11 seed now.

ESPiN says they'll be lucky to make the tourney if they lose to a great St Mary's team. Good grief. A potential 24-2 team with wins over USM and Memphis should not be a 'bubble' team. I hate the mouse network.

Couldn't believe that ESPN was suggesting this morning that this loss could keep Murray State out of the NCAA tournament...What a bunch of elitist ********!!!!

Just remember guys; ESPN is not the Selection Committee. I, for one, have pretty good faith in the Selection Committee. What we have seen in recent years is you have to win a bunch of games, schedule decently OOC, and win on the road. Murray State beat Memphis at Memphis and UAB at UAB. It would be very difficult to leave them out if they lose to St. Mary's as well as taking one more bad loss in their conference tourney. With their schedule a 7 seed was probably the absolute best they could have done. Unless they start losing a bunch of games, I don't see how they aren't safely in.

Then, you must be a Big East fan! 11 teams from the same conference made the tournament last year. That's ********. I'll be ****** if I give them a vote of confidence, they screwed a lot of teams over with that move last year. I'll be watching the selection show with a great deal of curiousity this time. I don't care how tough a conference is, 11 teams from one don't deserve to be selected that way. They're starting to do the same thing in basketball that that BCS ******** does in football, Exhibit A? Never mind, ask any LSU football fan you happen to see...

I'm not saying I love the process, but I feel they do a decent job of doing what they do. I would like to see a rule instituted that only half of any conference can make the tournament, but those aren't the rules. The same metric that got UAB in last year is basically the same reason all those BE teams got in.

If it were up to me, they would start using some of the other metrics as well as RPI. OOC schedules would mean more. More mid majors would get in. But it's not up to me. We know the system. We basically know the criteria by paying attention to what they've done in previous years. It's not perfect, but I have a pretty good idea of how it works at this point.

Granted. Anything that burns Vitale's biscuits suits me just fine, he was the one doing the most squawking about UAB, **** him, we deserved to be there, we won our conference outright. A lot of those Big East teams that got invited didn't win their conference or even win the conference tournament. He and ESPN just wanted their particular favorites or darling teams to make it. A bucket of dead fish smells better than what they were trying to put out as valid reasons for this selection farce.
