Join the Rams on Sunday, Feb. 12 as Virginia Commonwealth University Athletics hosts the Second Annual celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day. It's a great opportunity for youth girls (ages 8-12) to learn more about sports and nutrition. All seven women's sports teams at VCU are joining forces to promote and educate girls about participating in athletics while following a healthy lifestyle. Finish the day by cheering on the VCU women's basketball team as the Rams face James Madison University at 2 p.m. Registration is limited to 100 participants on a first-come, first-served basis and all participants must register in advance. Please click HERE to register!

This year, the theme of the Day is "Title IX at 40: In it for the Long Run." For 26 years, National Girls and Women in Sports Day has motivated girls and women to get active and stay active. Being involved in sports and staying physically active equips girls and women with self-confidence and strength to flourish in all areas of their life.
