He only does the in-state guys, but I like his assessment of the state of the Huskies and his review of the recruiting class. I really hope Perez Ford can make an impact at the running back position or stay at running back.

NIU's staff does a great job in Illinois finding talent and then developing it. You look at this class and there are a lot of guys who have the inherent ability to succeed, they just need to be taught how to play at the college level. Add in that NIU has, generally, had really solid staffs that teach well and that's a really good mix for a program.

It will be interesting to see how the staff does in the 2013 class, which may be on of the best in-state classes ever.

From the FWIW file.... my son's drivers ed teacher is one of the varsity football coaches at our school. My son was asking him what he thought about Ford, who we played this year, and the coach said he was a beast of a player and just raved about his athleticism.

Actually I hope he moves to LB. Him and Cotton would make quite a duo in the future.
