Works for me - I've never read the comic.

Thats me. Never read the comic. Ive been ok with the show---though its had some slow seasons. Didnt like killing off Glenn because he was one of my favorite characters. In the end, its a show about zombies....I think you have to keep that in mind when discussing expectations for the shows quality. In my humble opinion, its always been pretty good story considering its a show about zombies....and it remains so (despite the tendency to get a slow at times). 04-cheers

Not sure if anyone watches Fear TWD but I wonder if they plan on joining both casts together on TWD once Rick and Maggie leave? There are some solid characters there and along with Darryl, Michonne, Jesus, Carol etc, I think the show could survive.

I really enjoy the Strand character more than any other character in both shows combined.

Lots of speculation about how Rick buys it but have to wonder if it won't be his head on the spike near the Whisper's territory instead of Ezekiel. I think Rick's departure will extend Ezekiel's storyline much longer, I don't think the show can afford to lose many more prominent characters, after all Maggie will be departing by season's end.

Andrew Lincoln is now the 10th highest paid actor on TV trailing only Mark Harmon of NCIS and cast members of Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory. Andrew Lincoln will make an estimated $11M for season 9.

I watch it and was disappointed with the way the season ended by misleading fans all season into thinking they were heading ti join up with the Walking Dead Cast.

Plus the villains are really weak since they left the dam and didn't make a lot of sense

Dont see how it can last past next season if they dont join up with TWD

Dont know how TWD ties in the helicopter into the story line (is it in the comics?) because it makes no sense. There's no way to explain why no one else would have seen it over the year if Junk Yard Girl was having contact with them and sending them people. For that to happen it had to land and take off a few times. Plus you would think they would be located close enough that someone from the 4 compounds still left would have heard of them.

I think the distance between the groups is farther than they seem. You'll hear a helicopter 5 miles off, but not 40. And it seems to come at night. Probably when pick ups are made.

I think I'm going to give up on TWD after Rick Grimes leaves next week. I've been bored with TWD for a couple years now, but stuck with it since I have been watching it from the start and wanted to see it through the end. That ended when I recently read that AMC said they have enough content for TWD for another 10 YEARS.

Last night was one of the better episodes in a long time. Rick is departing next week, Maggie by season's end. I have to wonder if the detour she appears to take at the end of the episode will play a part in her departure.

In real life, people die, things evolve. Whether TWD survives people dying and things evolving, they give a reasonable picture of people surviving in an apocalypse. There is no "end" to this story, just a ceasing of viewing.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead [Warning: Spoilers]
So which one gets a ride on the helicopter, Rick or Maggie? I say one of the two ends the season like that with the hopes of them changing their mind about coming back. Cant see it being Rick because I think its going to be the season cliffhanger and Sunday is Rick's last show.

Is the helicopter people in the comics? I asked about why is it only junk girl has seen the helicopter but she isn't the only one. In a past season I recall Rick seeing it a couple times.

I dont understand people saying it should end this season or its a few seasons past it's ending. If someone wants it to end it can, for them. Dont watch. I never understood people that believe just because they no longer want to view something, they should just end a show...

narcissist view to think they know whats best for others

The show can go on with lower ratings for quite a while, if you lose the original cast. Salaries get out of control after season 5. Because of the theme of the show, it is easier to lose and replace characters than with most shows. They to this point have done a pretty good job of that.

Rick Grimes = Micheal Scott

Time to bring in James Spader to wrap it up.

The helicopter part is not in the comics. Can't say if the people are or aren't because we don't know who the people are yet. The junkyard people/ storyline is not in the comics and Oceanside did not come into the comic story until after the war with saviors. They were in the story after the time jump but there was never any backstory for them.

I enjoyed the last episode. Even with the viewership taking a plunge they are still getting millions of viewers each week. This show still has a lot of life left in it. I don't watch it the night it comes out but I still follow and watch the show later in the week.

That's what I am thinking as well. Have that as the connection to them instead of Eugene and the radio.

Bingo! Don't deprive my family of watching a show they enjoy because you don't like it. Just quit watching.

Oh and before I get oh the rating are dropping well they have. It's the equivalent of instead of Bama winning by 40 they are only winning by 20.

Wonder if next week is going to be an episode showing Rick save everyone by leading the herd away in dramatic fashion only to flash to reality (at the end) and show him getting eaten by walkers where he passed out at the end of the previous episode. That would be a legit yet brutal end for Rick that I would appreciate. Making your most important character die in the most unimportant way.
