Poor poor Temple.

Yup...and ECU and USM. There are a lot of Memphis fans who hate seeing this happen to those fine programs.

Air Force 2013. Hopefully BYU 2015. If not, Fresno.

Bring it down. Stay near Beale Street, and on your drive to the Liberty Bowl stop at Central BBQ. Then set up shop at Tiger Lane for some cold beers.

Clearly a basketball move. BE just beefed up basketball part of the conference. Hopefully, Memphis football will improve somewhat to be competitive in the conference. At this point, BE might as well add Air Force or Temple to the lineup to make it 12.

Our football will be very competitive within the next couple of years, and the Liberty Bowl will be full. Now for basketball, come on down for a beatdown in the Mtown.

I personally say Air Force (Football Only) and BYU all sports. That is the best possible move we can do.

Other than football, I have no problem with Memphis. They actually add to the conference in the aggregate.

I see MEMPHIS as our new SYRACUSE. Bad football with great basketball pedigree.

I still agree with Pitino that there is room in the Big East for TEMPLE (and Air Force).

Do not fret about the FB; it could end up as big, if not bigger than the BB. Memphis is more of a FB town than most understand. It is just that allegiances are splintered. This may, just may open the right door and dismiss the recruiting tool used against the UoM decade after decade.

Yep, they can't say that anymore and BCS $$$ cures a lot of problems.

This isn't going to lead to interminable threads on this board about what is and isn't BBQ, is it? Oh, of course it is. Good thing we don't have any North Carolina schools. YET.

As far as I am concerned if it is meat, dead, and smoked, it is fine by me.

Love this little gem about Memphis from NBC. Adding the Tigers is a huge mistake.
