2012 FB Schedule (rough draft?)
Seems we open the last Thursday in August @ BSU.

Home 9/8 vs. IL State,

9/15 @ Purdue

9/22 @ MSU.

Home vs. CMU, Toledo, and NIU.

Home vs Army.

Home vs. Kent (I think).

Away vs. WMU and BG (I think)

Away vs UMass (????) EDIT: EagleSam says @ Temple.

TOUGH schedule but if we survive the first 4 games it will be an excellent season. Can't wait.

We are at Temple. I wish we played UMass.

Everything else looks right. If we go 8-4, we are damn sure gonna earn it.

My brain fart: I remember posting that we won't face Harnish, Page and Pierce this year...

If we go 8 - 4 we should apply for membership in the Big East. 03-lmfao

Very tough schedule.

Tough is the way we should want it..

I could see us being 3-1 after 4 games easily ( no Ray Charles jokes).. I am more scared of IL state then Purdue because we will be focused for them and the guys will come their to prove a point..

Micheal Jordon use to say you can't going around the championship (Pistons) you must go thru them.. I think this is where this team mindset is.. We don't want to go around any team. Go thru them. We owe Toledo payback for last year game.. Same with NIU and Ball State.

'12 will be a really good season. Big games start from game one.

There won't be any cupcakes.

AFTER the '11 season, rivalries have gotten bigger both those who beat us and whom we beat (and WMU and CMU will be looking to pay us back).

If we start well, attendance could soar.

I think we have a very good chance at going 5-1 at home again. All 6 are winnable games.

Okay, looks like the Temple game will be open and presumably we'll pick up a game from the MAC East (e.g., Miami, UB, etc.)

RE: 2012 FB Schedule (rough draft?)
Dear Friends,
My concern with the schedule, is the year after. If, Temple leaves, do we go back to the old alignment of East and West? Does this mean more non-league games, or more inter-divisional games? Does the MAC try and expand with another member? If, the MAC does expand, let's make the school become a full-fledged member, not a football only member.

Ken, go to the main MAC board and this stuff is discussed in many threads.

Screw the main board.

Are we interested in having discussions on THIS site, or not?

Depends.

If it is a broad, conference-wide issue, I take it to the main board.

If it is EMU-related I keep it here...

RE: 2012 FB Schedule (rough draft?)
Dear emu steve,
Thanks for the direction, I being a relative newcomer, never went there. I must say though, to go through nine pages to see what others are saying and thinking, is tedious at best. Don't get me wrong, one has to do that in order to understand what has been going through people's minds.
