That's my thought. Is PJ headed to the NFL?

This was my thought as well. He has to be going to the Bucs.

300K+ to be a WR coach which would also add to his resume more than an non-AQ OC @ 100-125k.

No brainier...if that is where he ends up.

My guess is he got a call from Schiano today and said come coach my WRs. Only logical explanation.

Would make sense... but he should have told the truth if this is the case. Don't give lame excuses for leaving.

Why didn't schiano offer him last week?
Why doesn't pj at least give the real reason?

+1000

IF that's what happened, I have no respect for him. If he got a great offer from the Bucs (or whoever), just come right out and say "It's too good to pass up. I gotta go."

RE: P.J. resigns
PJ Fleck is headed to Tampa and it's confirmed he will join the staff of the Tampa Bay Bucs. This is factual. He will coach the wr's in Tampa. And before you go lighting PJ up , think about this: MAC coordinators leave for BCS postion jobs i.e Schaefer, Canada previously, Roushar, and many others. As much as we love NIU , being a position coach in the NFL is a huuuge step above coordinating this offense. Sorry. This is a move any coach would make. this prepares him more for a future head coaching job here or anywhere else. IF you take a general manager job at Taco Bell , but Googel or Microsoft offers you a management position, you leave every day of the week! I know PJ well, and this was a very tough decision, but at the end of the day, in college football, you have to look out for yourself. Nothing is guaranteed.

This is probably it. The Rutgers board is blowing up today about Schiano taking the entire staff to TB.

That's all well and good, but then PJ should be truthful about why he's leaving. All those guys you mentioned were upfront about WHY they were leaving.

Take him off the future HC list. I can not support him after this BS. Fine you can say you leave for NFL, but not after one day. Get your optioned on the table first then make a decision. Zero class move.

PJ won't be the HC here anytime soon; that's for sure.

Yeah assuming he is going to Tampa, that's gonna be hard to come back from.

F--k P.J. Fleck. Don't ever come back. Lose our number. Don't come around here no more.

This just shows his lack of integrity. Lack of credibility. He doesn't love the Huskies.

NIU football deserves better men than P.J. Fleck. Good riddance. Now maybe everybody on this board can stop sucking him off.
