I loved that show.

The other show I loved was Bosom Buddies with Tom Hanks.

Well it was 70's comedy. So it wouldn't compare to Two and Half Men.

My favorite comedies, and I'll probably forget some were:
Three's Company
Bosom Buddies
Seinfeld
Home Improvement
Everybody Loves Raymond
King of Queens

Two and a Half Men sucks. King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond are decent to watch when there's nothing else on.

sanford and son is my favorite of the 70's. probably favorite of all time.

Never watched seinfeld on a regular basis. It's always nice when i'm sitting around and catch it though. Love king of queens.

Just recently watched arrested development series. It's a little different. I'm watching it all over again. It's funnier the second time because you understand the little quirks.

two shows that I just caught that I never thought i'd watch that cracks me up.
mr. bean reruns and hot in Cleveland. betty White is insane.

Yeah, Mr. Bean is that slapstick physical type of humor. He never speaks, but it is funny stuff.

Rowan Atkinson was in a movie called "Love Actually". It's a british chick flick about intertwined relationships. I "actually" liked it for a chick flick. Anyway, he has a small part as a department store worker in the jewelry section. The customer is trying to buy a necklace for his wannabe mistress while shopping with his wife. His wife is off shopping for other stuff but will be back any minute. The customer is in a hurry, but Atkinsob tajes it slow and makes him extremely nervous. Funny bit.

RE: Three's Company reunion
Got to agree with sub, Eastbound and Down (this is the final season, right?) and It's Always Sunny are among my favorite tv shows. Other than that, I think Modern Family is the only current 30-minute comedy I watch.

I don't think I've ever seen a full episode of Cheers.

Quite a few of my favorite tv shows have ended the past two years. I should probably work on finding their replacements.

The first season of Hot in Cleveland is a hoot; Wendy Malick brought me to tears. Second season not so much, but it has a great cast.

The first Newhart show was the best. Always got a kick out of Beverly Hill Billies and Green Acres. I Love Lucy is amazingly funny after all these years. Brady Bunch takes me back to my childhood.

Today's sitcom's suck. Not exactly a sitcom, but Family Guy gets me rolling.

I think Parks and Rec is far and away the funniest network comedy going right now. I love Sunny, The League, Eastbound and Down, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. If you count animation South Park is still awesome, and Archer is really freaking good.

Someone mentioned Arrested Development, which is probably my all time favorite sitcom. It's just layered so well. There are jokes you don't get the first time through because they foreshadow things that happen later. Just a brilliantly thought out and always hilarious show.

RE: Three's Company reunion
Sounds like B, Chatter and Sub want to cover all eras... so...

I Love Lucy
Honeymooners
All in the Family
Night Court
Family Ties
(I guess these next few are going outside the sitcom realm...)
In Living Color (particuarly before Carrey left)
Mr. Show
Chappelle's Show

Agree with Sub/B/Mark on...
Sanford and Son
Cheers
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Arrested Development
Big Bang

If we do count toons, I agree with Mark on "South Park" and "Archer"... but there are a lot of great ones:

Simpsons (in its prime)
Dr. Katz
Futurama
Family Guy
American Dad
and the Flintstones still holds up OK, IMO.

Did anyone ever see "That's my Bush" (Matt Stone/Trey Parker), on Comedy Central? Very short-lived, probably because making fun of the Prez like that is a no-no.

Three's Company was OK, until it became the same damn thing everytime.

As a kid, I loved Happy Days and Kotter, but not sure I can watch them now.

Seinfeld. Arrested Development. America's version of The Office. Cheers. Taxi. The original Bob Newhart show. My list could go on...But...

I thought I'd give you a list of some of the people and shows that created the whole TV comedy category.

But before I start, I want to give special mention about Ernie Kovacs & George Gobel.

Ernie Kovacs was completely offbeat and his humor almost totally visual. He was one of a kind, and has never been duplicated, although I admit I didn't get interested in him till high school. There are a few of his old shows floating around. Well worth looking for his stuff

George Gobal, known as "Lonesome George", was the lowest key, deadpan comedian ever. He opened his show with a monologue, and the show included sketches involving his wife, Alice. I had just reached double digits, but I recognized good comedy when I saw it. George faded away when Gunsmoke came along and blew him away.

A lot of early comedy shows were really more of a series of sketches, or bits, as the stars roots were in vaudeville.

I'll stick to the 50's.

George Burns & Gracie Allen
The Jack Benny Show
Your Show of Shows
The Red Skelton Show
You Bet Your Life - Technically a game show.
The Grouch Marx Show
Milton Berle - The original cross dresser
The Jackie Gleason Show

Of course there were situation comedies like...
The Life of Riley - The original hapless husband without a clue
I Love lucy
Father Knows Best
Our Miss Brooks
The Phil Silvers Show
Ozzie & Harriet
The Phil Silvers Show
My Little Margie

I'm insulting you, right. You knew this already. Old people like to tell you stuff you already know, and they like to tell you over and over again. It's not because we forget. It is because we like to annoy you. It's kind of like hazing. We know it's bad, but it was done to us and now it's our turn.

Two and a half men is just ok now. But with Charlie Sheen it was awesome.

Love Big Bang.

Modern Family is good, but one that I never would have thought was good but is freaking hilarious is CougarTown.

Also like How I met Your Mother, although its hit a bit of a lull. But Barney is an absolute hoot on that show.
