Nicholson was a senior backup. Grady would have been if he didn't move to WR (or if it wasn't for Lynch). It happens.

Chris Finlen was our #6 QB that year he first started. We had 6 then.

That was 0-11 ugly season. I think the guy who started at QB in game 1 was getting regular playing time at TE by the end of the season. It was basically Finlen and Friz alternating. And neither of them where scholarship at that point IIRC. They had a freshman QB out of Florida on scholarship they were keeping redshirted. That guy transferred out the next year I think. They just had no luck with Florida guys back then.

Don't know where Finlen was initially on the depth chart. The famous QB6 is Craig Harmon of course.
