UCONN vs. GTOWN
Old time BE rivalry. Calhoun has changed the starting lineup and we will see if this will help the Huskies.

UConn is up 13-9. Neither team can hit anything.

Funny how this thread died after 13-9. Hoyas win 58-44.

UCONN is playing like crap right now. I haven't seen them playing this bad in a while. I hope they snap out of this thing soon.

I recall the UConn team, I believe 2 years ago, was very talented but didn't make the tournament...they had like Stanley Robinson, Dyson, Kemba, and Gavin Edwards.

They won't until they find a leader. We have talent, but no one who has come even close to matching Kemba's leadership.
I'm not asking for Kemba Walker. I'm asking for at LEAST an A.J. Price...

That team could not shoot. This team can but did not show today. They shot something like 2 for 26 for 3s which is unheard of for an UCONN team. Anyway, we got a month to get this fixed. Calhoun has a funny way getting his team ready for March and I hope he got some magic left for these guys. One thing UCONN needs to do is stabilize the line up. It has been changing every other week which has killed whatever chemistry is left.
Team with 2 lottery picks should not play this bad.

I think UCONN needs to hand the PG duty to Ryan Boatright. He was in foul trouble early and killed any UCONN momentum. We need the kid to take over for Napier until Napier can get out of his slump.

RE: UCONN vs. GTOWN
Thought this account from the student section was interesting considering UC fans have known all this for years now:
At the end of the first half, with the Hoyas leading by 10, Calhoun followed his players off of the course. As is the custom at Georgetown games (and every college game across the country for that matter) the student section laid it on him. "You're a cheater!" chants rained down, which, even while true, Calhoun took offense to. He came up to the students standing next to the aisle and said something like "Show some respect," and then turning to Verizon staff and demanding "Get them out of here." He also may or may not have casually dropped and F-bomb somewhere in there also. Anywhere outside of the Verizon Center and this would have been ignored. However, the event staff then told any student yelling at him as he came out to stop doing so. I guess they either forgot that this isn't Hartford or that just because Calhoun is a pansy doesn't mean he has to be protected like a baby. It's college basketball and let's all take insults like men.
