I'm sure Gopher fans are ecstatic that, after a year to recruit, Jerry Kill is still slugging it out with NIU for players. That ought to go over really well.
Maybe we do or don't compete with Illinois for recruits, but I guess it's pretty hard to deny we compete with Minnesota for them.

It's all about player development anyway. I have far more confidence in DD and his staff than the goober up north.
I feel sorry for the kids, condolences on your predicament.

Well, they'll get used to playing on Homecoming, because every school in the Big Ten will want them or Indiana for that game.

for Minn to have a good class they need at least 6 difference makers in each class with the rest being good football players

Yes, but it does depend some on how the coaching staff utilizes those players. Dummy will probably have his best WR or LB prospect lined up under Center. While the next potential all-franchise QB sits on the bench and is threatened with the 3rd -string spot (for example).

NIU competing with the Big Ten for recruits just shows how far along we have come, even if we only get a couple of them its amazing to see where we are right now compared to where we were back during the streak.

If I gave a flying f*^k about them, I might actually go look at their verbal list.... but I don't, and neither do most people in Minnesota.

RE: Recruiting News
NIU does recruit with Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and maybe Purdue for recruits. Their Top 10 are out of our league but their next 10-15 are guys we recruit too. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. They are still playing in the B10

RE: Recruiting News
Interesting how much Minnesota's recruiting overlaps ours. Uncanny, you might say.
