Well, it just keeps getting better for us on the injury front. Tello Palacios might miss tomorrow afternoon's game with a thigh injury. Otis should be back in a small role, but he won't replace Palacios who has really come on as of late.

People have said over the years that the threat of injury is the biggest problem with typical Pitino-style basketball. Too hard on the body over a long season and career.

I hope they get to full strength soon so teams don't sneak up on them.

Those who can't play always play against Cincy. Pitino pulls this stuff all the time. They'll play and play well.

You've got to love this Pitino quote that he dropped while talking about the injury:

"Hopefully, we'll have him for tomorrow. He's got bruise on the side of his leg," Pitino said. "He's been kicked twice. We're just trying to get the swelling down. Also, he's been watching all our film of Hicks and that's got him kind of sick."

Love it!! So he may not play tomorrow because watching film of Hicks made him sick to his stomach?

peace.

Pitinino is the biggest sandbagger Ive ever seen. Did you see the quote about Louisville playing some of the best basketball hes ever coached right now.

I've never seen a team get more banged up then Louisville. It's amazing. And, unlike the teams of the last few years, this team isn't as deep. That's going to be an issue. The key is for our guards to play steady and for Max and Hick to do their thing. If our big guy's and control the glass, even dominate it, we'll be in great shape.

Pitino = total BS
Louisville will bring their A game tomorrow and everyone will play.
To beat Cincy on the road would be huge.
This time I hope Ricky is around to see the end of the game.

GO CATS

Either that or he's worried about the game and having Palacios not play makes for a good excuse when they lose.

I'm not buying it though. :bang:

If I saw film of Max and had to play him, I would suddenly get an injury too.

That means UofL will look for a big game from senior Ellis Myles and for better rebounding by freshman Juan Palacios, who has been slowed by a bruised leg but is expected to play.

"He didn't practice (Thursday)," Pitino said. "He's had his bruise kicked twice — and he's been watching a lot of film of (Cincinnati's) Eric Hicks. ... This will be a baptism under fire for him, because he's not a great block-out guy to begin with. He's a very bright young man, but (Cincinnati) goes after your back on the weak side ... and your rebounding space is not that big."

The Cards will get some help from senior forward Otis George, who is expected to return to action after missing the past eight games with a stress fracture in his right foot. Pitino said George isn't in top shape but could see 17-18 minutes of play.
