Apparently, he verbally committed to UC yesterday.

Hoard said last night that Goodman would not confirm rumors of his verbaling to UC. Why would he do that if he did verbal?

Because if he did confirm it he would be getting harassed by media calls constantly. Right now, he can announce it on his own terms I would assume. Maybe Monday?

Harassed by media calls? Based on local media outlets, how many media calls do you figure Byrd (Div. IA POY) and Andre Revels have gotten. I haven't seen or heard of one media report here locally about their commitments.

Besides, any media really interested will be asking him about the rumor anyway.

I appreciate the response to my question, but I really don't buy it.

Maybe he wants to be harrassed by the media. If he announced, then they wouldn't bother asking him. Now he's got them pawing him all over looking for a story.

I know all of these guys have commited but did they have a conference? The paper hasn't written a word about Byrd's commitment and considering he's the state's best football player on the state's best team and he's going to UC there should have been a front page story with a huge headline. Oh, I forgot this is the Enquirer. Somebody with some money could make a fortune by putting out a second morning paper in this city. The Enquirer is awful in every way.

I have a tough time believing that anyone, especially Don Goodmans family, want to be harassed by the media. In addition, I don't believe the media in Cincinnati cares enough about UC football to harass anyone, like Real Deal pointed out.

Maybe Revels, Byrd, and Goodman want to announce together or maybe Goodman hasn't had time to contact Ohio and W. Virginia to inform them of his decision or maybe Goodman hasn't made his choice yet.

The one cae in the hole UC fans have is the fact that Marcus is usually right about his information.

I would certainly think that a group photo-op with Revels, Byrd, and Goodman commiting together would be a great way to promote both their commitments and UC football.

Yeah, I can't wait for that picture of the three of them in Red and Black!

This would be huge if true. I think he is Donny Goodman's son who
ran for 100 yards in our Penn State upset. Donny was a quality guy. I used to play basketball with him and made the mistake of running into a pick he set. I only did that once thank god.

The only thing I've seen so far on the news was about Revels commitment.I still haven't seen anything on Byrd or Goodman.But,on the Ohio North/South All Star rosters,it has Revels and Byrd's college as Cincinnati.

Evening local news confirmed Goodman's intent to play for the Cats. Bigger question, QB????
