RE: Bracketbusters
I really like Kent State's match-up with the College of Charleston and Eastern Michigan's game against Wisconsin-Green Bay. IMHO, they'll be the best non-ESPN games.

KSU / College of Charleston looks to be the best MAC game listed.

Ohio is the biggest loser in the games. They have the widest disparity between RPIs (56) and they get a team whose RPI has no hope of rising. The payoff, a game on ESPN3. And since all Ohio's home games are already on free steaming video this is no payoff at all. Western Michigan has a better matchup (ND State) than Ohio.
The good news is that Akron has a real chance to enhance their resume.

All twelve teams are represented I would say that is "well represented"

UNC-Asheville is a good team. Having an excellent conference season so far. Ohio got a fair draw.

Asheville, Greensboro, and Wilmington. Are those all like UNC branches with sports? Like an Ohio State Marion branch, Lima branch, Mansfield etc... OR are they seperate institutions in the same state and regular universities of the cities name?

I think it's the latter. I have always assumed that it is how NC has designated its state schools. I believe it's the same as all of the Ohio MAC schools but instead, we are named Miami University, Ohio U, U of Toledo, etc. instead of being called OSU - Columbus, OSU - Athens, OSU - Oxford, OSU - Toledo, OSU - Kent, etc.

Oh, and I also think that the Akron - Oral Roberts and Kent - CofC matchups are the sexiest for the MAC. And Axeme is right, ORU is badazz.

No, they are branches of the UNC campus - Not seperate institutions.

There are 17 separate institutions (campuses) in the UNC System. These are not branches of the UNC campus. UNC-Chapel Hill is 1 of the 17 institutions.

I accidentally found this, which I thought was interesting. Here is a powerpoint where the UNC system was discussing the possibilities of adding branch campuses to their system. They discuss three different types of systems that are used at Penn State, Ohio State, and Ohio.

Penn State - Centralized Model
Ohio State - Decentralized Model
Ohio - Leadership Model

Yes and no it is similar to New York and California where the school is part of a system but is also a separate institution in most respects. For instance UNC is technically the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill but it alone is allowed to call itself the University of North Carolina by virtue of the legislature saying so. California have the California States and the University of California systems (SDSU and Fresno state are part of the state system and schools like Berkley are part of the other). SUNY and CUNY are the two in NY with Buffalo/Binghamton/Cortland/etc being a part of SUNY and are distinct schools operating under one system and their governance.
Ohio is different because the universities are much more separate (which culturally is par the course in Ohio it seems).
Anyway the point is that no they are not UNC branches of the school we all know (the one at Chapel Hill) as they are branches of the system. Technically UNC that we know as the Tar Heels is actually a branch as well of that system though they do get the honor of being recognized as the University of NC in common speech and use.
