Green Bison....I strongly doubt that WVU/marshall will be playing in 2005......but I have heard strong rumors that the two schools will start a series in 2006...of course that is assuming the 12 game season passes...it is also my understanding that Marshall would get a home game in the contract...but I couldn't tell you if it is a 2 for 1 or 3 for 1

-- the down side is that there are also rumors floating around about the WVU/VT series extending into the 2006 and 2007 seasons with a new twist...the games will be played at Fed Ex field in DC...kind like how the UF/UGA game is in Jacksonville every year

-- If WVU gets to choose between the two...I would assume they would go for the VT series because the game is guranteed to be on national TV, and the recruiting exposure in DC etc...but that's just my guess

WSAZ interviewed Marshall's Interim President and he said that there will be a Home and Home Series starting in 2006. Details on how long the series lasts and where the series starts is still being worked out.

I agree that there is no way for the game to be started in '05.

-- I haven't heard that...but wouldn't be suprised to see it happen...would be suprised to see it a 1 for 1 though...ECU is one of WVU closest friends and they are still getting 2 for 1s

-- That's probably a good thing...if one looks at the talent/#of players leaving from the two teams....a 2005 Marshall/WVU game could be a very ugly poorly played affiar

Its about time WVU reevaluated its stance on a home and home with Marshall. The MAC school excuse no longer applies to Marshall.
