He did it at (mid-major) Memphis.
He's John Calapari! He went to a final four at UMASS too. When Monty gets Derrick Rose, you let me know.
D. Rose should have eligibility left.

Maybe we should say NIU should be Butler too. Here are some realistic expectations.

Seriously, the next D. Rose is probably hooping on a Chicago playground somewhere. No reason why Monty can't find him and get him out to DeKalb.
I think that NIU can become the DePaul of the 1970's/1980's recruiting primarily Chicago talent.

Oh my God you're kidding me right? Derrick Rose was a 5 star, #1 PG, #3 player overall. He literally could have went to any school he wanted, and Monty is supposed to be able to land him?
I'm sorry, but you can't be that dumb.

Huh? Yes he could have, and he went and played for Cal. Do you not follow college basketball? Memphis was an elite program when Cal was there.

Derrick Rose had academic question marks. He couldn't write his own ticket out of high school.

Derrick Rose.
Oh I give up. You're too dumb to argue with. 252 wins, 7 straight seasons of 20+ victories, yes, that's all Derrick Rose.
He's 487-153 as a coach. Clearly, all Derrick Rose.

Ah yes the famous WSCR joke! But seriously, I don't think Rose should have gotten away with that, he is really lucky in my opinion.

You're right, one great class can instantly turn a program around. However, it's going to take a year or two until MM can build up the credibility he needs to bring in a great class. Like 7 said, patience.
