Well we have had three games against ranked teams and three losses...granted to #1 Ill and if they werent #1 Wake would be...and Lville is always tough

But I think we see what we have for years, sometimes defense and hustle doesnt win games...you also need smarts and ability to score

I thought I would see who has stepped up in these games and who is dropping the ball

We have 7 upper classmen (2 SR 5 JR)..one 4 year guy (who is our alleged best player)

OK the first thing that stands out to me is that none of these numbers are great, and they are all random, our best assit guys are our forwards, only two guys shooting better than 40% from the field, only two guys shooting 75% from the line

So basically that means what I think everyong already knows...WE DONT PLAY GOOD AGAINST GOOD TEAMS

But if we did have to pick a good performer it wouldnt be our senior, "best player", and "go-yo-guy"...because he is third in scoring in big games shooting just 30%, it would be Eric...

Hicks is our most consistent and IMO best player...sure Max may go off against LaSalle, but who the hell cares about that, he is a ghost in big games

Forget throwing Max the ball in big games....30%, since when is that impressive

I just thought it would be interesting to average out the numbers and I think they are very telling, James is pretty solid, Nick hasnt had a good season but is playing well in big games, Kirkland is shooting 27%, ewww, but our leading assit man...explain that one

Great defense or not, I think we have seen by now, year after year, good teams have a good point gaurd who distributes and a big man who can score low...we have niether, and good teams can move the ball, we cant...clearly defense keeps us in games, but the team with the most points wins, not the team who plays the best defense
