Remember when seniors = fewer mistakes
Remember back when, when having a bunch of seniors meant you'd play mistake free basketball. Remember (okay, a lot of you werent born then) when Griffin to Cutter to Tyson meant a flawless entry pass followed by a flawless interior pass. Snider to Kann, out to Reed for three.
Now I'm watching seniors who still can't enter the ball into the post, and interior players (with the exception of Stain) who have no touch on their passes, or simply can't catch them. We move the ball around the zone like a womens team. Waaaaay too slow.
These last two games have been painful to watch. MD seems to get it. But I watch Flen and I see a guy who still seems to be learning how to make a post move, and I watch Ward and I still don't think he knows what he does best (drive and shoot or draw the foul).
It's as if seniors in this program peak out in their sophomore year, seemed to be the case with Reitz, Reed, Snider, and to some extent even Kool.

It's been a painful year to watch. Hoping they finish it on a roll like last year.

Chip - that is a painful analysis, but it really is true, and I wouldn't even go there if I did not see it with my own eyes. I guess all of us fans have seen it. Especially these last two games, and the sloppy, unseniorlike passes are coming at the worst possible times, in the last 2 minutes, or even the last minute of crucial games.
And who is it exactly that is guilty of this mess. Well, last week it was Whitington late, followed by Flen late, and both those turnovers contributed directly to the loss.
Today I watched senior DWard make some of the poorest passes that you would expect only a freshman would make. And Flen is just a basketcase when it comes to kicking the ball out when he has no shot, double, and even triple teamed. And Hutch is no great shakes when it comes to making precise passes.
Mike D as a point guard is very good, he will make some mistakes, but he has to take a few more chances than the rest of them.
How bad will we get hammered by the East teams, with 20 turnovers a game? We are going to find out very soon.
