VMI W 80-73 (8-2, 14-8)
CU needs to cap-off a good week with a win at home before two tough away games next week.

VMI hasn't had much success on the road this year, winning only at The Citadel. However, they're undefeated at home but that doesn't concern us since we don't play there this year.

Should be a high-scoring game with a barrage of threes.

Sagarin says Camels by 10.

RE: VMI
Hope we can defend the three. We have not done too good a job this year.

Need the win.

Camelfan,

What Campbell team are you watching? They are second overall and second in league games at guarding the 3. Right at 32% given up on the season. Statistically they are one of the leagues best.

Regardless, Go Camels should be alot of easy baskets to be had against VMI today.

Another great crowd as well. The atmosphere has improved dramatically this year.

I keep wondering what we can look like when we put everybody on the floor together, healthy. Now that Lorne has rounded into shape, if Darren and Eric keep playing well upon Trey's return, we should look really good. Marvelle, that guy is just as steady as they get.

I agree, another great crowd. According to the Big South website, Campbell now leads the conference in home attendance with 1871/game, just edging out VMI (1861) and Asheville (1820).

You know I work for a living and don't always have time to check every stat before every game. Guess that is why you are the statman.

I was going on what I saw at UNCA game and heard on radio at App St. and CSU game. I know they ate us up all night from 3. In the games we have lost we have not done a good job stopping the 3 pointers. So if we do a good job we should win the game. Which we did.

Again - you seem to know everything so I will have to defer to your infinite knowledge.

I am right about the free throw shooting especially Eric and that we played like crap for a good string when Merthie came back at Houston Baptist. We do better when Freeman and Merthie are not in the game at the same time. Something going on there. Merthie has played much better since Freeman has been injured. Like both of them there is a chemistry issue there or freshman showing up the senior or something.

I am glad we are winning. Hope we run the table. I assume you will keep us up to date on all the stats and will try to remember that you are the all knowing in that area so will check with you before I post in future I guess.

Hey I didn't mean to upset anyone. No need to take it personally...I just took a minute to look up what my feelings were on the subject. Has Campbell struggled in games? Absolutely, but overall this team has been very good defensively. Again no offense was intended.

I also work for a living but I do apologize if I upset anyone.

This team is breaking new ground on what success means at Campbell and I'm looking forward to the last month of the season.
