Those are his approximate averages and he's pretty consistent. My point was basically that Kevin Jones is going to get his, it's everyone else you have to worry about. Easily my favorite non-Bearcat player to watch. Works his @ss off and plays pretty much the entire game.

Furthermore, there is no need for posters to continually piss on a man who did a ton for our school that they know will get a reaction from those of us who care about the Bearcats present and past.

There have been far worse posts about current players on the team that haven't been met with this same type of defense. I love every year when this game comes around because we hear the same "I have respect, but when the ball is in the air it's a rivalry" type posts. Yet, when there is a rivalrous post or jab it's always a call to arms to defend everything from the past. Is it really a rivalry or is it hands off?

As far as the game, I'm not sure there is a better defense for Truck than himself. He's either on or he isn't. Regardless of the defense he'll either look like 1st team BE or a nonstop shooting hack.

Far worst posts about current players? Really? How many people take personal shots at the current Bearcats. If they did, I know I would be the first to jump all over their asses.

What is ridiculous is the tone of Bearcat fans towards this team (other than during the horrible stretch early in the year) and last year's team has been incredibly positive. People are really happy with how things are going and yet people still feel the need to start fights and take shots at people who are important to Bearcat fans who have an appreciation for the program past and present.

Give me a break. Take a deep breath. Enjoy this team and stop acting like the world is against them. We love them. We love watching them. And many of us are excited that we are in the Big East race 1/3 of the way through the Big East schedule.

UC has survived 39 points from Waans and 27 points from Napier. Yancy held Drummond to 4 points last night while posting a double-double for himself.

And UConn got hot right at the end making three pointers. Villanova shot waaaaaayyyy beyond their three point shooting percentage. Why can't UC catch any of these teams on a cold shooting night???? I guess UC has a big target on their back now and will get every opponent's best game from here on out. It'll only make us better though.

I actually like our chances. Who does Huggs try and shut down? Geez. He has no clue which of our players will have the hot hand. Unlike WVU where we know to shut down Bryant and Jones. If they shut down SK and Yancy, they still have to worry about Dixon, Parker, and "Bank a three" Wright. 5 headed monster for opposing teams to deal with.

I'd say the treatment of Yancy over the past year has been far worse than anything I'v read on here about the former coach. If it's indeed a rivalry game then I don't see how a simple comment about weight somehow turned into shot at Bearcat fans who appreciate the past as you say. BearcatBeta's post looked like a normal jab you'd see when we are about to play a rival like XU or UL.

No kidding. I loved Huggs, and he'll always have a special place in my heart. But to get all bent out of shape because someone alluded to the FACT that he's fat? Good grief, people. Talk about getting your panties in a wad.

Huggs turned out not to be the omniscient being that I had built him up to be in my head, but he still did a TON for this university and he'll always have my respect for that. And he made a lot of happy memories from games for me.

But, ummm....he is the opposing coach now. And he is kinda pushing maximum density. Fair game.

I still have my "I Support Huggins" t-shirt in my closet, makes a nice bedtime shirt. I love Huggs, BUT...NO LOVE for Huggins for about 2-2 1/2 hours Saturday, hopefully he gets thrown out of the gym after multiple Ts and a police escort is needed. Then I can go back to watching him coach and hopefully he wins the rest of his BB games EXCEPT against UC, UT and UM.

Ripping on Kenyon and Nick, who are not players / coaches on a rival team we happen to play, isn't an apples to apples comparison. I appreciate about 95% of Huggs history here at UC, but fans ripping on him today is no biggie because of the fact that he is a current opponent.
