According to Coaches by the Numbers (CBTN) Chryst is the OC of the year for the 2011 season. Although he wasn't the highest ranked OC statistically speaking based on their metrics, he was the highest who didn't coach under a HC who was also heavily involved in the offense and had been an OC previously.

I think he's walking into a better situation than last season would suggest. There are talented players here and talented players coming in on this recruiting class who will fit his style. To be honest, Shell in Graham's offense was a bit of a head scratcher as he appears more of a power back in the mold of what Wisconsin has produced than a scat back which I think is more conducive to the spread option.

I'm also excited to see how he tries to do his best with what he has. That was a real irritation last year with Graham. The guy I'm most curious to see fit in is Voytik.
