Romney gives cash to struggling supporter at rally
I'm not a fan of Romney. I don't like the idea of him as a leader. But I've never had anything personal against him. But for some reason this just makes me not like him on that personal level. Something just feels wrong.

Yeah, he is trying to better his image as seen in that PAC ad that was put out in the other thread but by doing this will do more harm than good because it is clearly a fake attempt to better his image.

It is a little weird, and I am positive that the media will turn over every stone in this woman's life in search of something that will make it seem even weirder.

But at least so far, it does appear to have been a spontaneous act on Romney's part.

You really think this was a spontaneous act? I guess there is a sucker born every minute.

Spontaneous for Romney, yes.

Obviously not spontaneous for the woman asking him for help.

Something seems fishy about it to me.

I thought buying votes was illegal. Wait.... Obama did it on a national scale.

According to the article God told the women to go to Romney. It was obviously an act of god.

I'm kind of neutral on this. It's not like he gave her thousands or something. Kind of a decent thing to do but very wierd for a candidate, curious if this crosses any ethical line.

This is what he was thinking:

"This'll play well in the sticks. This is what normal people do, right?"

The name of the woman is that same as one of those "I'm a mormon" people who do adds and go door to door...

This smells like a setup.

You can tell that from her name? Wow. THat is really impressive.

Btw, why do you hate anyone that isn't a fundamentalist Christian?

It pays pretty handsomely to be a liberal. You should try it. We just get all this free money with no strings attached!

(1) Nobody with as much power in my church as Romney has in his would run for public office.

(2) If a an elder in a church was running and *happened* to give 60$ to a supporter who was a member of that church I'm sure your ears would perk up.

(3) Doing this so publicly violates several biblical principles that, supposedly, Romney and the Mormon Church happen to share with Christians.

Now onto "Ruth Williams"

Here is "I'm a Mormon" Ruth Williams:

Here is Ruth "God told me to ask Romney for money" Williams

He has been hurting since the 10K bet incident, seen as 'out of touch'...

"The exchange came as Mr. Romney’s rivals try to cast him as out of touch with average people in South Carolina. Mr. Romney’s personal wealth is estimated at between $190 million and $250 million."
