I am going to the Shootout for the first time. I basically took out a second mortgage on the homestead to by the seats...actually not that bad but not cheap. My seats are horrid but I've just got to be there in person this time...tell me though, if I am in the nosebleeds will I be surrounded by the evil that is XU fans buying the cheapseats off of ebay or scalpers or will the Shoe still be predominantly red and black as it should be?

It will be mostly Bearcat fans. You can tell the X dorks(aside from their attire) by the way they stand up till they make their first bucket. I remember a family of four, with young kids, back in the 90's, that stood throughout the first 3-4 minutes of the game as they went scoreless. They never sat down as we kept scoring and they were crucified. I felt bad for the kids but that is stupid. It was quite funny, the kids were actually getting scared.

Hopefully, whatever fraction of X fans at the game won't have the same first row seats that some Wake fans had at that game. It was crazy to see so many tie dye yellow-black tees so close to the action.
