I still don't understand that. Dallas is a decent city. It's not New York, but it's not crap either.

You were not born/raised in Texas and or Dallas were you?

If you had you would understand. I guess hate is a strong word. I don't plan on going up there and tearing the place down or anything. Just hate all things Dallas (at least sports wise) and root for anyone playing against them.

No, I'm not a native Texan. I lived near NYC until I was 23, when I moved to Dallas. That was a long time ago.

Agreed. I tried to explain this earlier in another thread.

If you're a native Houstonian, a Luv 'Ya Blue fan, worn a "HOUSTON PROUD" button and were still waiting for Bum to kick the door in, and remember the whole 7-Eleven crap from the Cotton Bowl - you hate Dallas.

Maybe the younger folks born in the 90's and transplants don't have the same resentment, and both cities do have a lot in common these days so I can understand the questions.

...I'm working on resenting Dallas as much as possible, don't rush me. 04-rock04-rock

Actually, as a NY Giants fan, I already resent Dallas in general. 04-cheers

Hoping U of Houston continues the football winning ways. I live nearby and want a reason to catch games locally. Can't wait to see Louisville and Cincy come to town.

I hear you...I was hoping Houston and SMU got added last Spring...I'll still try to get to a game there sometime. Although with UTSA in town I can get my CFB fix 10 mins away.

Sounds like a tailgate to me. 04-cheers

BTW, UTSA wants to build an oncampus stadium but I really like having it at the Alamo Dome now...great for the visiting fans. UTSA's campus is just a typical huge suburban campus next to a freeway.
