Jackie Carmichael hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to lift Illinois State (11-4, 3-1) past visiting Evansville (7-7, 2-2). In a game that saw 5 lead changes in the final minute, it was fitting that it went literally to the buzzer. Colt Ryan scored 25 pts for the Aces, who also got 18 pts from Denver Holmes, but it wasn't enough.

Doug McDermott scored 44 pts pacing the Bluejays (13-2, 3-1) to a 9 pt victory over visiting Bradley (5-11, 0-4). The Jays needed good FT shooting down the stretch, going 7-8 in the final minute to hold off the Braves, who remain winless in Valley play. Bradley had gotten to within 4 at 83-79, but could get no closer.

Indiana State -- 63
Missouri State (10-6, 3-1) ralled from a 7 pt halftime deficit led by 17 points from Anthony Downing to beat Indiana State on Saturday. A Jake Odom rebound would get Indiana State (10-5, 1-3) within 2 at 61-59 with 52 seconds left, but Missouri State went 8-10 from the FT line to close out the game. Kyle Weems scored 14 pts and grabbed 9 rebounds for the Bears, while Jake Odom was held to 6 pts and 6 asst for the Sycamores.
Also worth noting was Anthony Downing with a 3/4 court shot to beat the buzzer at the half:

Southern Illinois -- 73
Wichita State (12-3, 3-1) never trailed and led by as many as 19 Saturday at Southern Illinois (5-10, 2-2). Joe Ragland had 20 pts, Garrett Stutz had 16, and Toure Murry scored 15 for the Shockers. Southern Illinois was led by Mamadou Seck who scored 15 pts and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Salukis. Wichita State ballooned a 7 pt halftime lead to 66-44 lead early in the second half, only to then go 7 mins without scoring allowing the Salukis to close to within 65-60 with 6 mins left. Joe Ragland followed two FT's by Murry with a 3, then steal and layup to push the lead back to 12 and they would get no closer.

Anthony James scored 26 points, and Jake Koch added 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead Northern Iowa (12-4, 2-2) to a road win at Drake (8-7, 1-3). Rayvonte Rice scored 27 pts for the Bulldogs.
