Thought this was going to be a story about DeMarcus Grady. Just checked Huskies.com and the Huskies in the NFL page still has a picture of Sam Hurd in a Cowboys uniform.

RE: Grady caught with crack
There is no way Chief Grady had no knowledge of what was going on in his family member's residence, in his own jurisdiction. I don't want to rush to judgement, but all signs point to Grady being a bad candidate for law enforcement, let alone being in charge of an entire community's safety and well being....

DeKalb is not within Grady's jurisdiction, only NIU. Since Chief Grady doesn't have the greatest relationship with local law enforcement, he probably was left in the dark of the ongoing investigation by the DeKalb cops.

Wow. That is sure expecting a lot from a person. His 40 yr. old daughter who doesn't live with him......and you expect him to know what's going on?
Chief Grady may not have the best personality in the world...but he is VERY well qualified to be in law enforcement and very well trained with an exceptional staff. NIU campus police are actually better trained than the state police and most city police.

Are you kidding me? Why the hell would he know? Should he be wiretapping his adult daughter? The woman isn't 12.. the greatest parents in the world have kids go wrong. I'm not going to judge a guy based on what his adult kid does without knowing more about the situation.

Perhaps, thats why I used the phrase "don't want to rush to judgment". Tell me its not odd though she lives in the same town, they probably see each other on occasion, he's a law enforcement specialist, and yet he had NO idea she was up to something of that nature?

You're right though, innocent until proven guilty.

RE: Chief Grady's daughter caught with crack
You said "No way" an absolute statement. And then you say you don't want to rush to judgement, when you leave yourself no wiggle room, it makes it seem like you clearly did rush to judgement. Pulling a Glenn Beck doesn't change what you said. "I'm not saying he knew his daughter was a drug user, but there's no way he didn't know his daughter was a drug user." I mean give me a break. Rush to judgement is exactly what you did.
