Possible Coaching Defections
CF Coaching News is reporting that we are losing coaches McNutt and Faulkner to Illinois after the bowl game. Has anyone else heard this?

RE: Possible Coaching Defections
I have not seen anything other than Illinois message boards referencing the same report.

Coach Faulker would not be a loss in my mind since our RBs weren't at typical stud level.

Coach McNutt as a native of Illinois and it would be a logical move. Bad for us as he is a decent recruiter. Also it will be a sad loss as my wife loves his name...

Don't forget Dick's weatherman sidekick Pete Sack. BTW, they're on channel 5. What a duo.

Beckman would want coaches that know the landscape of high school coaches in Illinois. He did the same thing when he came to UT

Beckman raiding more ex NIU coaches, John Hauser. This was great, he was a DB coach for us under Novak until about 08 or so. I worked under him, great guy.

Illinois: Tim Beckman has announced the hirings of John Hauser as director of player personnel and Aaron Hillmann as head strength and conditioning coach. Hauser was the defensive coordinator at DII Wayne State (MI) last year and Hillmann has over 20 years of strength and conditioning experience, most recently as an assistant at Michigan.

This was an elaborate back-door way for the Illness to raid the NIU cupboard, just admit it, Y'all wanna be us.

I guess we should be happy they didn't take DD.
