Tarik Black was supposed to be the 'big' that could make a difference. We are a frighteningly skinny team, JJ, WB, CC, WW are all rail thin. WB leads the team in rebounding and he weighs around 180 lbs.! Simpson is a transfer FOR A REASON - he wasn't very good.

Rail thin teams with a bad attitude about defense are probably going to get exposed. Throw in the fact that our 'point guard' averaged more turnovers than assists last year and averages slightly more than 3 assists versus 2 turnovers this year and you can see why our offense is in a funk as well. Maui was a disaster and it has been downhill ever since. Michigan pushed us around and it reminds me of when we played in Maui against Stanford and the Collins twins. They just toyed with us.

This is a classic case of the sum of the individual parts >>> the team itself. A bunch of highly rated wing players looks good on paper, but if there is nobody willing to rebound, defend or set a pick, you get what we've seen thus far.

I'll say that there is still a very good likelihood of us winning the C-USA tourney and going to the dance - ONLY because it is at home.
