I hope BTH will give us periodic reviews of
how next season's recruits are doing this year. From what I've seen, I think we have some very good prospects that will add to this season's class. I really believe Steve has been given some time to build something really good because he's going more for Freshmen and the long haul. If his job was really on the line, I would assume he'd bring in more Jucos and try to avoid a drop off while waiting for Freshmen to develop. Although, so far, his Freshmen this year are playing ahead of the Jucos he brought in, and I guess that's a good sign.

I'm still waiting for Lawton to have a break out game. I didn't see the real early games when he played more, so I really don't have a true picture of his abilities, but from his credentials, being the #28 rated shooting guard in the country coming out of high school, and being part of that #1 recruiting class at San Diego State, the kids must have some talent that could make him a very good SBC player.
Maybe his defense isn't as good as Steve wants right now, but if he can score, he could certainly get some time when Steve is shifting offensive and defensive players. I would like to see him have a little more playing time. We're not winning anyway, so he can't do much to hurt us if he plays ten minutes orso a game and gets to take a few shots.04-cheers
