ULM has no moral high ground to stand on. The whole reason you wanted to be called ULM is to spite us. Drop the "woe is me" routine.

Because I'm highly sensitive of branding, I try for the most part to honor their branding request of ULM, especially when (and probably because) I know they don't respect ours.

And some of the folks here didn't like us before are are using this issue as justification.

I use ull due to using devices without a keyboard. Ull was hard enough for me to change to from usl.

I understand the branding, I am married to a SMS grad, it is now mo. St.

Louisiana on a key pad just takes too long.

I just don't get it, never have. Why take so much disrespect from calling a school its legal name? And then to say if you put an extra L in the name then don't even speak of us is just juvenile IMO.

I've seen, like, 5 different WarHawk fans on this board. There isn't only just 1...

And although I call 'ULL' Louisiana nowadays, the Cajun fans on this board really need to learn and temper this thing called 'modesty' and this other thing called 'respect'. Respect is meant to be a mutual gain to both fanbases. Louisiana certainly has the 'football' edge to deserve being called whatever they desire, but if another person wants to use the designation everyone outside of Sun Belt relevance uses, then so be it. No need to get hysterical over a university.

Are we really going to get so flared up over a school name when there are more pressing issues in our communities to be worked up about, like public education flaws, poverty, deficit spending, littering, gang violence, corrupt government...

Theres no since in taking offense in people getting your name wrong unless it's being done from spite....I still don't know what to call you guys? Did the university of louisiana lafayette legally change the name to Lafayette? I thought using the ULL was the proper thing and meant no harm and I'm sure I'm not the only person. So the defensive response I've seen from some of the university of louisiana lafayette fans has been premadona and not needed. I'll call you what ever you want seriously ... and maybe a few more choice things if you pi$$ me off. Lol
