I Agree 100%, No need for that kind of comment.
Shows what kind of a person he is..Way too much of that on message boards. I think comments made on boards should be the same if you were talking to someone face to face.

I agree. That's why I am adamant about the name issue. If William wants to be called 'Bill', you don't call him William. It just isn't polite, and if you do it after being corrected, you are just acting the pr*ck, and should expect to be treated as such.

You're comparing a person to a University/Athletic Program? I honestly don't see why you guys get so upset when people call you by your University name. Is you University name so appalling that you just don't want your athletic teams to be called that, and you're ready to fight someone if they do? Personally, I don't care what you are called. You can call yourself whatever you want, but you shouldn't accost someone for calling you by your official university name. If you haven't noticed it's made things worse. I like to support our fellow conference mates, but when you act like this, it makes me not want to. With that being said, good luck tonight.

ESPN has yall listed as UL-Lafayette on the scoreboard and ULL at the halftime report.

and, the cameras just showed a Cajun fan with a giant sign for #4, and on it was plasterd "ULL" on both sides of the guy's name...?

you guys just can't catch a break, huh?03-banghead

On that note, they were saying "Laugh-ee-ett" all night, I've always said "Law-fee-ett". Is this is one of those "poh-tay-toe, poh-taw-toe" things, or is one actually correct?

And before someone jumps in, with the correct pronunciation is "Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns" or something like that, I'm honestly just asking how Cajun fans pronounce the name of the city their University is located in...

Laf-e-yet is the most common here.

And the announcer in the Superdome was saying Louisiana all night so were the big 12 refs...

Props to anyone that uses UL or Louisiana. We appreciate it.

The sad part about that sign, that's probably the only sign that said that. If you listen, at the end of our fight song you hear the "GO UL" part clearly a few times. Also heard atleast twice we did the "U-U-U-UL" chant we do.

Another example where Fat Ass Wright Waters has pushed the name that he wanted and not what UL wants!!

He still hold a grudge on us for not getting the Athletic Directors job in the 1980's. Even thou, none of the people involved are with the University today, he has never forgiven us.
