IDK about football wise, but it looks like we're going to have a great rivalry in basketball. What a great game last night! Look forward to playing you guys in conference play!

Great game, indeed! I'm going to miss the rivalries in the Big East but last night was a nice prelude to what it will be like in the Big 12.

WVU should be even stronger next year. Juwan Staten and Aaric Murray should adequately replace Truck and KJ, and 3 more freshmen will be added to the mix as well - if all 3 are cleared...

The Big 12 is probably underrated by many as a hoops league. There is a lot of passion around the league, and most of the schools we've lost to other conferences added little to the conference in basketball. The highest profile of that group was Missouri, and while they've had some success over the years it's surprising that their fans haven't given them more consistent support. Adding WVU will give us another good basketball program, and the built in rivalry with KSU is a great start to creating new rivalries.
