Duck Men's Golf Finishes Seventh at Windon Memorial Classic
Albany's Chris Carnahan ties for ninth at 1-under 215.

GLENVIEW, Ill. - Chris Carnahan shot a final round 73 to finish tied for ninth at 1-under as the Oregon men's golf team dropped two spots to finish seventh at Windon Memorial Classic, Tuesday at the 6,745-yard, par-72 Glen View Club in Glenview, Ill.

Carnahan, a redshirt senior from Albany, Ore., had rounds of 74-68-73 to finish at 215, nine strokes back of individual champion Tom Johnson of Northwestern. Oregon's John Ellis, a senior from San Jose, Calif., and Kyle Johnson, a freshman from North Bend., Ore., tied for 17th at 4-over 220.

Host Northwestern ran away with the tournament, finishing 16 strokes below par at 848. Duke was a distant second at 873, followed by Stanford at 876, Georgia Southern and North Florida at 879, Oklahoma State at 886 and Oregon at 888.

The Ducks shot a 304 Tuesday, which was the second-worst round of the day. Despite that, the seventh-place finish marked Oregon's seventh straight top 10 finish in regular season tournaments dating back to last March.
