I was checking UC's history with the new teams it'll be playing in the BE in BBall, and there wasn't much of it.
Since 1980 UC has only played UConn (once), Rutgers (4 times), Notre Dame (once) and WVU (once)
UC's never played Georgetown, Providence, St John's or Syracuse
The new BE will be a whole new world

LOL! I appreciate what C-USA has done for us, but their logos are horrible and the name C-USA or Conference USA just doesn't sound elite for some reason. I agree, UC will fit in fine in the Big East, it'll take a few months for the fans to get fully acclimated to basketball, but I think we'll fit in right away in football. UC has a strong history with Big East football, having played Rutgers, West Virginia, Pitt, Syracuse and UConn a number of times over the last 20 years, along with our long standing rivalry with Louisville and having played South Florida the last 2 years and getting used to those guys who will have a solid football program.

--When it comes to the bball schedules...I hope the BE is smart enough to make sure that all the football schools get to play each other in hoops at least once a yr...I think that will quicken UC/UL/USFs adjustment...and besides....as a West Virginia fan I have little or no interest in seeing the Mounties travel all the way to Wisconsin to play Marquette....I would much rather play one of the football schools or a bball only that is in close proximity of WV ( a Georgetown or Villanova for example)
