RE: Q School
Update on Ben Curtis early in 2012:
Currently playing his 3rd consecutive event on the Euro Tour's Middle Eastern Swing, Ben is currently T9th going into tomorrow's final round at -12 in Dubai. Lee Westwood is leading at -15, so he is in the mix although he'd have to go extremely low to pull it out. Big picture what Ben really needs is a solid finish and another round in the high 60's. That would likely give him a top 10 finish, if not higher. He was in decent position for top 25ish finishes in both of the last 2 Euro events going into the final round, but really had poor rounds on both Sundays. Tomorrow he is playing with Rory McIlroy and Martin Kaymer, so in a way, if he could simply keep up the pace with those two, it truly would be a shot in the arm in terms of confidence which is something that he has lacked the last year or so. Who knows, a great finish in Dubai could be just what he needs heading into the next 2 months when he should be able to get into some PGA events through the FLA swing where he has a decent track record of being in the mix (Bay Hill).

RE: Q School
As time goes on it sure appears Curtis winning the British Open was the biggest upset since Upset (yes this is why the word is used this way) beat Man O War in the Kentucky Derby. I just don't think Curtis cares that much. He makes a very nice living being fair at best and would rather spend time at home. Can't say that I blame him but I just don't expect much of him anymore.
