Both Stanford and Alabama are Idle and OK State may just well lose to Oklahoma. VT may have to win by a large amount to sneak into the BCS Title game.

LSU would have to lose by at least 50 and vt win convincingly since some voters dont even have VT in the top 7

Clemson is now a 3 loss team, and is ranked #20. I don't think even a blowout win over them would do it. Considering they lost to them before only scoring 3 points.

Oklahoma State would have to get blown out badly by Oklahoma, and LSU would have get annhilated by Georgia, and VT need to blow out Clemson. But even then it's an long shot.

Our only chance was last weekend had teams like Wake, Clemson, GT, Auburn, and ND won. Then with Stanford successfully whining and throwing VT under the bus it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Correct. VT strength of schedule took a big hit with Wake, Clemson, & GT all losing to SEC teams. No way to jump over Bama or Arkansas now.

Not telling these teams anything they don't already know, but ACC needs to do better OOC. Maybe Swofford needs to call a strategy meeting with all of the football-first schools to see if they need a tune-up game before rivalry week or something. This is depressing (even though VT won, it feels like we are just the best of the worst).

Unfortunately, they have no chance to jump Alabama. LSU is in no matter what they do against Ga, imo. Funny story, we live in N Va and my 4 yr old asks me why people have pictures of chickens on their cars all over the place. I said it's not a chicken its a turkey, for VT.

1) VT would have to beat Clemson something like 50-0. Even then, Clemson's late season "Clemson" will hurt the Hokies

Then...

* Georgia would have to beat LSU in OT. If Georgia were to rout the Tigers something like 50-0, they would rocket right past VT, Stanford and the OU/OKST winner into the #2 spot
* Some computer poll glitch would have to occur that accidentally dropped Alabama to 3 or 4 (and that would have to go undetected).
* Oklahoma and Oklahoma State would have to have a score like 3-2, 9-6, 12-9 or something.

Yep, the computer rankings would hold VT back even if they jumped in the polls.
