Coach Holliday? Rumor is he's one of the top 4 picks for the MU HC job. I'm kinda leaning towards wanting him instead of Kueck and Snyder.

--He is a great recruiter....I don't know of Marshall its Flordia hard when it comes to recruiting but Doc has a ton of connections down there...I'm not sure if he is a great Xs and Os guy when it comes to football though...In my opinion...former Nehlen assisatnces Steve Dunlap and Bill Legg (who also coached at marshall) were a little better in that area

--Word up here is Holliday is very angery at WVU for not given him a better shot at the HCing job when Nehlen retired...and RichRod basically called Doc a liar without naming names a while back in the Charlest Gazzette over a supposed incident in which NC state and WVU were recruiting the same player....so if he has any desire to come back to WV this is probably is only shot and it should make for an extra interesting game if we play next yr

-- The only concern I would have about Holiday is his age...He had been with Coach Nehlen since the early 80s so he probably isn't going to be a long term solution for your HCing job

-- Greenbison...what are you guys going to do if a new coach is hired between now and next yr? Certainly the new coach couldn't install his offense or defense at this late date....How is this going to work? I'm gussing the supposed 4 yr contract the interm coach got was a rumor...correct? I am very interested to see how this is going to play out in Huntington

Thanks for the input. Personally I want Bud Foster but it seems that he's not been contacted or he's not interested. As to your other points, I've addressed them below.

I think I know which rumor you're talking about.

Who the hell knows? That's the main thing I'm worried about. Surely Holliday is familiar with our type of offense or else Urban Meyer wouldn't have him on staff. A lot of MU fans are pinning for Snyder but my complaint about him is that he's only coached in the state of Ohio and neither YSU or OSU play our type of offense.

Common sense tells me that Kueck should stay interim HC until the end of the season. That way the coaches, players and the system itself will stay intact. Plus Kueck will get a chance to prove himself. If it doesn't work out it will be at the end of the year when the coaching carrousel goes round and round and we'd probably get more qualified candidates. JMHO.

-- Is Bud Foster the DC down at Virginia Tech? If so...then yes he is also a very good coach and should be contacted if he hasn't been already

-- Its really a tough goin for Kueck...the Herd has a very young team and are going into a tougher league...I think marshall was going to struggle a little in 2005 even if Pruitt was still around...its not the best situation for an interm coach
