Interviewing Interim CFB coaches
Thought of this over the weekend: Assuming UAB is allowed to terminate a bad head football coach...and assuming Ohio State, Penn State, and North Carolina make new hires...
...would you be okay if interviews were given to Luke Fickell, Tom Bradley, or Everett Winters? They all have some 'smelliness' by way of former superiors (one with a pungency more current than the others). But all three could finish their interim tenures with winning records.
I'm not particularly wowed by either of them, but I imagine they'll prefer to be head coaches somewhere. And they've got the 'anybody but Callaway' thing going for them. Unwanted risk or odd opportunity for either of the three?

Nope.
None of the 3 would fit at UAB.

I don't know much about any of those guys, but my kneejerk on the Penn State guy is that he's radioactive, like everything else in Happy Valley.
Probably not fair to him, but I really really really don't want Penn State and UAB mentioned in the same sentence any time soon.
Strange, a month ago, I wouldn't have imagined typing that.
