Saban on the move?

...honestly, I don't give a good "y'all know what" regarding Sa-bahr's status, but it just would irk me that we would AGAIN be in the 'simultaneous' coaching search mode if this happens and NC is also gone... and we sorely remember how all THAT went down last time...

It's also VERY interesting regarding the 'rumor' of the loans and the $$$ amount...AND that it is regarding construction... more ammo for our cause, perhaps?

The Gumps more than likely would round up the money this afternoon by all of the gump fans getting a 2nd mortgage on their trailers.

I doubt he's about to go bust. He's making $4m a year. If he personally guaranteed those loans, he's a gigantic idiot and has no business being in a position of public trust with money like he is. He may leave, and Texas may pay him double what he's making now, but it won't be because he's about to go bankrupt.

Heck, I just googled 'Saban Texas Nov 24 2011' to find this link - there were 2-3 out there... again, I don't care what happens with Sa-bahr, but hopefully we can get our situation in place before anything else occurs which may cause...you know, 'interference'...

I would see him leaving for Penn State, but I think he'd want to know what kind of penalties may be coming down the line. That kind of move would be an ego move, though, not money.

While I have great doubts that Nick Saban is going to want to start over rebuilding another program at his present stage of life (age 60), if they can lure him away, Bama can afford to replace him. Yes, Bama has won a BCS NC with him, but that is easier to do at Bama than at many other schools in other states where football may be just another sport teams play, not what the public considers to be the primary reason for the school's existance.

Yeah, right! In all honesty, I've never heard him even mention UAB's name once in the time he's been head coach of the evil crimson empire. Surely he remembers them from his tenure at LSU.
