Celebrate Today, Remember Those Who Never Let Go
A shame CajunCharlie does not get to participate in the bowl trip. He will be there in spirit, that I'm sure of.

RE: Celebrate Today, Remember Those Who Never Let Go
I met him during one of our games there, what? 3 years or 5 years ago? Great people in Cajun land during my visit.

I have to once again congratulate Jay Walker, BOP, on such well written, meaningful, and true to life-type of article. All of us "die-harders" for our often struggling, "underdog" programs, have to relate with what he just wrote on that piece. There are so many people, that even if not here now...for a myriad of reasons....., that have to be included in our thought recollection for any big program achievement.

Thanks for the read.

Charlie is right up there with the best person (sports, church, everywhere) I've ever met.

Another thing I'd like to add............ savor the "you know what" out of the bowl trips. You don't know when you are going to get back.

I remember back, as a young "wet behind the ears" college student, sitting in the "endzone" bleacher section behind the goals at Vandy's Memorial Gymnasium, watching us annialate a very talented Florida State squad in the first round of the NCAA Hoops Tourney. We were heavy underdogs.

I remember thinking about how great it was and could not wait to get back.

Well, that was 1989, and I'm still waiting.
