Part of the issue is that we've (the Blazer Band) had to get old members to fill in on two of the games so far this year. The first was the second exhibition with the Marching Blazers being in Memphis, and the second was the Murry St game happening during the Wind Symphony and Symphony Band concerts (note: that concert was supposed to be held the Thursday the UCF game was, and was moved once.) The two games where it has been normal, there's been plenty in the band.

A lot of the timeout issues are marketing still getting things ironed out from what I understand. I think they realize that those games that have the movie tutorials are way to long for regular media timeouts and can only really be done at halftime. So far, all the of the timeouts in the 1st half have left little or no room for any music (band or dj) before the team is back on the court.

At the end of the day, if you want the band to play more or the dj to play less, you need to email someone in marketing. The people conducting the bands have almost no say in when the band plays.

While at time its entertaining seeing kids get great moments in front of their friends and Blazers fans, at other times it appears to be a chessy bad game show but thats okay too, I enjoy seeing the kids participations,

Now the events and music played during a timeout when we are on a run should be more focused on keeping the fans hyped and involved. It appears the football DJ is in the arena, and he need to be schooled on Basketball timeouts and music selection.

But, the student section is the more vocal section in the arena and they seem to enjoy it, they are the ones, the team and I feed off of, they normally bring the chants, boos, shouts of defense, stump their feets and so on, they also are known to the players and the players appear to respond to them. The time out events is for the fans, visitors and the future alums we want to nuture with a great game day experiences. They will remember their experiences and want to share it with family, friends and future Blazers.

The students have been bringing it this year, in larger numbers and more vocal than before. Big props to the student section for setting the mood. 04-cheers

Now if we can get the old fart season tixer's (like me) up and shouting, the Bart will be feared by all who dare play the Blazers on their home court.

The last volleyball match of the season is tonight, so the basketball court should be down in time for the home game on Sunday.

Since there is a WBB tourney thru Sat night, I doubt the floor will be down for Sunday's game.
