I have to find it funny that Fresno is not being offered up. Dont they have a better history and support for football?

Oh, thats right...for some reason we are just adding schools in big cities for football. The BE really knows how to screw up expansion.

The BE should have given in to BYU's demands, they are a brand name and their road games are worth more then all of SDSU games.

It's not just the TV market.

Boise does not bring a TV market, what they bring are solid BCS numbers and for Boise to remain an asset they need to keep those numbers high with continued success.

Idaho is not rich in talent, Boise recruits mostly from CA and within CA the San Diego metro is very rich in talent much richer than northern Cal and about equal to the LA area. So, this is a way to ensure that Boise comes on board and to increase the chances that they remain a top football program. If Boise were to drop-off after joining the Big East, they would become a liability to the Conference.
