WAC/Big East
I wonder if a big winner in the Big East West could wind up being the WAC.....
Why would Fresno, Nevada, and Hawaii want to go to the new MWC/alliance? The TV money will be going down for either a straight MWC or alliance after all the schools that are leaving....
Imagine the WAC gets busy here- gets Fresno, Nevada, and Hawaii(fb only) back in the fold...
you have 10 football/12 basketball.....
then after that- go and raid the MWC entirely. New Mexico, Colorado St, UNLV, Wyoming. So 14 footblal/16 basketball...
divisions aren't bad...
West
Hawaii
Fresno
San Jose St
Idaho
Nevada
UNLV
Wyoming
mountain:
La Tech
Texas St
UTSA
New Mexico
New Mexico St
Utah St
Colorado St
This would be better than C-USA I think, Sun Belt for sure.. Probably on par with the MAC.

Why wouldn't the MWC just invite SJSU and USU? Those schools would accept, and that would be that.
If the MWC needs or wants to get up to 12, they could invite 1 or 2 more. Among other things, why would all those schools want to join up with the no-football WAC schools (Seattle, Denver, UT-Arlington)?

ESPN. Much better tv package than the Mtn and CBS College Sports and Verses. With that basketball group- a possible spot on Big Monday at Midnight on the east.
Also- if they do the alliance as a full merger- the WAC would be much better in terms of travel. Remember- Hawaii is football only.
